Marking a Repair Order Total Loss or Repairable

The Mark Repair Order Total Loss feature allows you to change the repair order workfile document status to Total Loss. You must first lock the estimate to use this feature. To enter total loss related charges, create a Total Loss estimate from the Estimate tab.

Alternately, a repair order workfile whose document status is Total Loss can be changed to Repairable. This feature updates the Reporting module to accurately report on vehicles that are repairable.

To mark a repair order a Total Loss

  1. Open the workfile, and then select the Estimate tab..
  2. Select Lock Estimate or Lock Supplement from the toolbar.
  3. Select Total Loss. The repair order status is changed to Total Loss.
  4. Select Save or Save and Close.

To mark a total loss repair order Repairable

  1. Open the workfile, then select the Estimate tab.
  2. Select Repairable. The workfile document status is changed to Repairable.
  3. Select Save or Save and Close.

Note: If you created a Total Loss Estimate, it is removed when the workfile has been marked as Repairable.
